Dr. G.G. Mueller Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10452
136 N. Farmer, Princeton WI 54968
The Dr. G.G. Mueller VFW Post 10452 began in Princeton, Wisconsin in 1980. The post is named for a very well-known and respected doctor, as well as a WWII veteran, Dr. G.G. Mueller. Years of fund raising and volunteer labor allowed members to move from the old firehouse to the current facility in August, 1989.
Since then, membership has grown substantially and the Post is active serving veterans in and around the community of Princeton. Some annual activities include participating in the local 4th of July parade, hosting the Princeton Children’s Christmas party, a horseshoe tournament, golf outing, Run for Sam. $10,000 raffle and much more.
However, our work for veterans is what drives our members. We host an annual golf classic and are strong supporters of the King Veterans Home with regular activities designed to help those patients. In addition, we have an honor guard that participates in veterans' funerals when asked and send hundreds of packages to troops overseas. We also support the National Home in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and many other local charities and worthwhile causes.
Since the members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars have defended our country’s freedom in war zones, we undertake all of these events and activities under the VFW’s banner to “Honor the dead by serving the living.” Our commitment to America is to give back more than we take. We urge all Americans to do the same.
